DOWN WHERE THE RARITAN FLOWS

You may sing of your Boolas and ancient Nassaus;
To Brown you may all drink her down.
To the glories of Penn you may give your applause,
And the beauties of old Cambridge town.
You may go-go Chicago and yell for Cornell,
And inform us that Stanford is fine.
Of Bowdoin and Williams and Tech you may tell,
But there's only one college for mine.

Take me down, down, down
Where the Raritan flows, flows, flows.
Banish your sorrows and cares and woes.
Where freshmen are verdant
And sophomores are gay;
Where juniors are gallant
And seniors blasé . . .
Oh, the rest may be fine,
But old Rutgers for mine,
Down where the Raritan flows!
