WE SING THY PRAISE, OLD RUTGERS

by Parker H. Daggett

We sing thy praise, old Rutgers, our Alma Mater dear,
Within thy walls, beyond thy walls, tho' we be far or near.
To thee we owe our fortitude, our precious heritage divine,
And all our loyalty and love will be forever thine,
And all our loyalty and love will be forever thine.

The bell of old Queens College to us will ever call,
Star of the West, in thee we rest our hopes, our pray'rs, our all.
The good old days dim thro' the haze our mem'ry'll evermore enshrine,
So all our loyalty and love will be forever thine,
So all our loyalty and love will be forever thine.

When storm and strife assail us, beset by doubt or fear,
The thought of you, so strong and true, will make the pathway clear.
Old Rutgers, mindful of the past, thy sons go forth from sea to sea,
And all our loyalty and love will be forever thine,
And all our loyalty and love will be forever thine.
